Nubax Trio Back Traction Review (Better than Inverting?)
Is this Compact Traction Device enough to relive your back pain?00000
2 User reviews
The Australian made Nubax Trio has become one of the most popular back traction devices in the last few years, especially for people who can’t use (or are afraid of) inversion tables.
Can the Nubax Trio be a safer alternative to inversion tables? Does it relieve back pain fast? Where can you find the lowest price? The answers for these (and more questions) are in this Nubax Trio Review.
First, here’s our summary:

How Does the Nubax Trio Work?
Traction therapy (spinal decompression), the practice of lengthening the spine, is being used for decades to relieve back pain from herniated/bulging discs, back arthritis, sciatica, muscle injuries and pinched nerves.
Nubax Trio Review
When you stretch your back with the Nubax Trio, it creates a negative vacuum in your spine… just enough pressure to “suck” your disc back into the spot it’s supposed to be in.
This “lifts” the disc off the nerve and relieves your pain – sometimes instantly – without medication, cortisone shots and surgeries.
As you lean forward in the Nubax, it decompresses and stretches your spine, creating a separation in your vertebrae, relieving pressure on your spinal discs and nerves.
Here’s a quick demonstration for using the Nubax Trio:
Nubax Trio vs. Inversion Table
First of all, the Nubax Trio is smaller and takes up much less space than an inversion table. It’s portable, while an inversion table is not.
An inversion table will decompress your spine using the force of gravity. You invert at a certain angle (from as low as 30 degrees to full inversion – hanging upside down) and gravity pulls your vertebrae apart.
Some people are not very keen on hanging upside down, and it can cause a few temporary side effects, like dizziness and slight headache. For others inversion can be dangerous.
The Nubax Trio does not require hanging upside down at any angle, and spinal decompression is created through active stretching (but with very little effort in your part).
However, you can’t use if for neck traction, you’ll need a neck traction device or an inversion table for the neck area.
No Strain On Your Joints – the Nubax requires little effort on your part, and causes no strain on other joints in your body.
Some people complain about joint strain from using an inversion table. You don’t have to worry about that with the Nubax.
Does Nubax Work (and How Fast)?
Through my research, I’ve seen many people reporting immediate pain relief using the Nubax Trio back pain reliever, even after just one session.
But for many others, it took about 2-3 weeks to feel significant effects – including 90% reduction in pain, improved posture, flexibility and reduced stiffness.
Since it only takes 5 minutes of your day, give it a chance for at least 2 weeks before you decide if it works for you.
I was blown away by one the reviews on Amazon, written by an 80-year-old woman, suffering from osteoarthritis for 7 years, knee and hip problems and pinched nerves: See her full review here.
Will It Hurt Your Knees or Hips?
The Nubax requires for you to bend on your knees to stretch your back, but if you’re worries about your knees or hips – don’t. You can simply put a thick pillow under your knees and some people use it on their bed!
Is the Nubax Easy To Assemble and Use?
Like I’ve said before, 80-year-old people use it daily with no problems. It comes well packaged and well made. It takes 10 minutes max to put together and is easy to understand.
Your package will arrive with a short manual with step-by-step (with pictures) guide to assembling the Nubax.
It also shows you how to adjust the shoulder pads and waist belt… how to get out of the Nubax (for those with joint problems), the best times to use it and more useful info.
It also comes with an instructional DVD with an overview on the Nubax, visual instructions to use properly and who to contact if you have any problems with it.
What About Storage?
The Nubax weighs 16 pounds (size: 17 x 31.5 x 22.5 inches) and you can pick it up and easily store it under your bed, in a closet or anywhere else with just a few feet of space.
You may feel an awkward and uncomfortable feeling in your shoulders. To prevent it, position the back of your upper arms against the pads, with your wrists on the handle bars. This takes the pressure off the shoulders.
It takes a little “playing around” and adjusting until you reach the most comfortable position. I will also recommend to use a thick pillow under your knees, nad placing your feet against the wall to keep your knees from moving backwards.
Nubax Trio Price
The Nubax Trio is about 290$, anywhere online. The price may seem high, but if you compare it to the cost of a DRX9000 treatment at the chiropractor, or the price of surgery, it may not seem so high anymore.
While chiropractor visits are very helpful for back pain relief, spinal decompression and spine aligning, you can get the exact same benefits from the Nubax Trio – for a fraction of the cost, and without spending hours going to and coming back from a chiropractor.
The Nubax seems like a high quality device, the stretch is powerful yet effortless and the treatment time is incredibly short, making it possible for anyone – no matter how busy they are.
Results are very good, and the only question is how long it will take to work, and not IF it works.
We would definitely recommend the Nubax Trio. It’s a highly effective device which will in long-term save you a lot of money and time.
I can’t claim this is the “only” treatment you’ll need to keep your back healthy and pain-free for the rest of your life, since back pain is always caused by a combination of underlying causes.
However, the Nubax is a device which I recommend to everyone suffering from back pain and my prefered spinal decompression device (even more than inversion tables).
To your health and happiness,
